Clarity before complexity
A good architecture makes the system easier to explain, operate, and improve.
About
Built for the organizations that depend on geospatial systems.
SpatialX Solutions Inc. is Canadian-owned and focused on geospatial modernization, secure architecture, spatial data foundations, operational reliability, and decision-ready location systems.
Founder
Roger Doctor
Founder, SpatialX Solutions Inc.
Roger brings a spatial enterprise architecture mindset to complex GIS environments: platform modernization, secure architecture, spatial data foundations, automation patterns, and operational reliability.
The SpatialX approach is grounded and practical: understand the system, protect what works, reduce fragility, and build toward geospatial capability that teams can operate with confidence.
Selected experience contexts
Presented as experience context, not endorsement or partnership claims.
- Ontario public-sector delivery and modernization contexts
- Elections Ontario-related geospatial delivery context
- CMHC-related geospatial platform and services context
- Comcast enterprise GIS and infrastructure context
- Infrastructure, utility, environmental/risk, and enterprise spatial systems
How we scale delivery
Founder-led, with fit-for-purpose collaboration.
SpatialX stays senior and accountable at the architecture layer, then scales delivery with specialist collaboration when an engagement needs additional capacity or domain depth.
What that means in practice
- A clear SpatialX architecture and delivery lead.
- Specialists brought in for the work the engagement actually requires.
- Specialist capacity is added only when it improves delivery or adds needed domain depth.
- Roles, ownership, security expectations, and deliverables remain explicit.
- The client gets focused expertise while keeping a coherent technical direction.
Principles
How SpatialX thinks about geospatial modernization.
A clear architecture matters more than adding another tool.
Secure by design
Identity, access, exposure, governance, and resilience are built into the platform view.
Architecture before tools
Tools matter, but the decisions behind them matter more.
Systems over one-off fixes
Recurring problems usually need stronger patterns, not another isolated workaround.
Reliability matters
Performance, monitoring, recovery, and operations belong in the modernization conversation.
Intelligence needs strong foundations
Advanced spatial insight depends on trusted data, clear workflows, and explainable decisions.
One SpatialX identity
One platform. Three focused experiences.
SpatialX Solutions, Labs, and Commons are being designed as one connected family: distinct experiences with a shared identity, common platform foundations, and clear handoffs between discovery, collaboration, and applied analysis.
SpatialX Solutions
Architecture, modernization and delivery
The enterprise-facing practice for geospatial modernization, secure architecture, spatial data foundations, performance, and decision systems.
SpatialX Labs
Applied analysis and interactive experimentation
The applied experience layer for analytical tools, demonstrations, uploads, advanced processing, and workspace-based geospatial exploration.
SpatialX Commons
Explore, connect and move ideas into action
A guided space for spatial thinking, saved exploration, collaboration, and structured handoffs into deeper analytical work in Labs.
Platform direction: independent applications, one identity, shared users and workspaces, common permissions, and secure handoffs — without forcing everything into one monolithic application.
